Johan Sverdrup Project - HLV Uglen Lifting platform cranes

During a period from March 2017 to June 2018, the HLV Uglen has performed 7 lifting campaigns on the Johan Sverdrup Project at Aibel in Haugesund.

During a period from March 2017 to June 2018, the HLV Uglen has performed 7 lifting campaigns on the Johan Sverdrup Project at Aibel in Haugesund.

In order to obtain the requested demands to lifting height and reach, the HLV Uglen needed for some of the lifting campaigns, to be utilize the high-lift boom version. This actual version of the high-lift boom can lift up to 340 tons up to a height of 111 meter above sea level. This kind of lifting operation demands a very precise and accurate maneuvering to obtain an exact set down of the platform cranes.

The pictures showing the lifting and installation of the two RP cranes weighing 192 tons each. The lifting and installation was completed in April this year.
