Wikinger Offshore Wind Farm

Ugland barges UR96, UR97, UR98 and UR171 part of the Boskalis' Wikinger Offshore Wind Farm Project

Boskalis are finalizing the successfull project on behalf of Iberdrola Renewables Offshore Deutschland GmbH for the partial construction of the Wikinger Offshore Wind Farm. Boskalis' scope included among others the transport and installation of the foundations.  Wikinger is located in the German part of the Baltic Sea, 34 kilometres north-east of the island Rugen.

The transporation and installation scope included a total of 70 jacket foundations and 286 piles between 29 and 51 meters long.

From the spring of 2016 Ugland barges UR96, UR97, UR99 and UR171 have been used for the transport of jacket and piles from fabrication yards to the marshall port in Sassnitz and for the transport from Sassnitz to the installation field.

We are proud to be part of an impressive project like this.
